Cubs Go For Series Win In Kansas City

The Cubs come in to Saturday's game against the Royals looking to do something they've only done once in the past five weeks. Win back-to-back-games in the same series. The Cubs schedule hasn't been easy of late, but Saturday they face a Royals team who has lost six straight games including Friday's opener to the Cubs.

Carlos Zambrano gets the start for the Cubs (31-44) Saturday. Zambrano is 6-4 this season with an ERA of 4.50. In his most recent start, Zambrano allowed three first inning runs to the White Sox but settled down to go eight innings and pick up the win in the opening game of the Crosstown Classic. This will be the first time that Zambrano will start against the Royals.

Danny Duffy will take the mound for Kansas City (31-45) in game two of the series. Duffy will be making his fourth start for the Royals this season. The rookie comes in with a 1-2 record and an ERA of 5.03. In Duffy's last start he lasted only three and two thirds innings and had to leave beacuse of leg cramps, but did strike out nine Cardinals hitters before exiting.

The forecast at the time of first pitch is temps in the upper 80's with a chance of storms. First pitch is scheduled for 6:10 CST. The game can be seen on WGN.
