Blackhawks Deal Brian Campbell To Florida

The Chicago Blackhawks have traded defensemen Brian Campbell to the Florida Panthers for forward Rostislav Olesz.

Olesz is a left winger who played in 44 games for the Panthers last season. The former first round pick (seventh overall) scored six goals to go along with 11 assists this past season.

Campbell will head to Florida to reunite with Dale Tallon who signed him when he was general manager of the Hawks. This past season for the Blackhawks, Campbell scored five goals to go with 22 assists in 65 games.

This is the second trade the Blackhawks made during the draft weekend. Earlier in the day they shipped Troy Brouwer to the Capitals for the 26th pick in this years draft.
