Cubs Try To Take Series Win From Brewers

Though the Cubs were drubbed on Wednesday night, they'll try to pick themselves back up and go for a series win in the last game of their four game set with the Brewers on Thursday afternoon.

Pitching for the Cubs will be Matt Garza. Garza has been a bit of a hard luck starter on the year, and is 2-6 with a 3.84 ERA and 1.42 WHIP. He's coming off of a start against Philadelphia where he took the loss, despite giving up only two runs on five hits over six innings. In his last game against Milwaukee, he gave up five runs on eight hits over 5.2 innings pitched while striking out eight. Prince Fielder was 3-for-3 with three doubles against him in that game.

The Brewers will counter with Zack Greinke. Greinke has a great record on the year at 6-1, but mediocre stats, with a 4.69 ERA and 1.19 WHIP. He's coming off of a start against St. Louis in which he gave up three runs on seven hits over seven innings pitched, while striking out nine. He's never pitched against the Cubs.

The weather in Chicago is forecast to be humid, but clear, with a game time temperature in the high 70's. First pitch will be at 1:20 P.M., CDT, and the game will be televised on WGN and FSN.
