After their first game of their series in Minnesota was rained out, the White Sox will try to get their long road trip started against on Wednesday night, with a match-up at their division rivals, the Minnesota Twins. Coming off of two wins in a row against the A's, the White Sox are looking to continue their surging play with a victory over Minnesota.
Pitching for the White Sox will be Gavin Floyd. Floyd is 6-5 with a 3.89 ERA and 1.15 WHIP. In his career against Minnesota, Floyd is 4-8 with a 5.27 ERA and 1.50 WHIP. Alexei Casilla is 3-for-10 lifetime against Floyd, with a double. In his last start, against Cleveland, he pitched seven innings, giving up just one run on seven hits. In his career against the White Sox, Pavano is 6-3 with a 3.94 ERA and 1.17 WHIP. Gordon Beckham is 5-for-14 against Pavano, while Paul Konerko holds a career .379 average against him with three home runs.
