Sox Look For Series Split

After a disappointing extra inning loss on Saturday, the Sox will look to even up the series with the Blue Jays on Sunday afternoon in Toronto. The Sox came back on three separate occasions Saturday, but fell flat in extra innings losing to the Jays in 14 innings.

The Sox will send John Danks to the mound on Sunday. Danks is still looking for his first win of the season. It is hard to believe that Danks, who has won ten plus games the past three season, is still winless on May 29th. Danks hasn't pitched as bad as his 0-7 record would indicate, but at some point his luck will need to change.

The Sox are in desparate need of a quality start by Danks today. After going 14 innings on Saturday, the bullpen is in need of rest. Regular starter Gavin Floyd even had to pitch an inning of relief in the game three loss.

The Sox did receive some good news on Saturday. Gordon Beckham's injury was diagnosed as just a bruise and is considered day to day. Beckham should be able to return sometime in their next series.

Toronto will counter Sunday with their Ace Ricky Romero. Romero has lived up to his top starter expectations this season with his 4-4 record and an ERA of 2.91. The lefty will hope to continue his success in the series finale to give the Blue Jays the series win.

First pitch for Sunday's game is scheduled for 12:07 CST. The Game can be seen on CSN.
