The White Sox and Jays will meet North of the border Saturday in game three of their four game weekend set. In the first two games of the series it has been all about pitching. Both teams have only scored a combined five runs each in the first two games with each team winning one game.
The Sox will send Edwin Jackson to the mound on Saturday. Jackson is 4-5 this season with an ERA of 4.26 in ten starts. The right hander will look to carry the momentum from his last start. On Sunday he beat the Dodgers allowing just one run on five hits. Gordon Beckham will be out of the lineup on Saturday. Beckham was injured in a freak accident on Friday Night when he was hit in the face on throw from the outfield.
Starting for the Jays will be Carlos Villanueva. Villanueva has primarily pitched out of the bullpen this season, but a recent injury to Jesse Litsch has moved him to the rotation. The six year veteran is 2-0 with 1.53 ERA in 14 appearances. This will be his second start of the season.
Saturday's game is scheduled to begin at 12:07 CST. The game can be seen on WGN.
