If you're thinking the White Sox have been on the road a lot lately, you're exactly right. The Sox are in the middle of a stretch in which they are playing 19 of 26 on the road.
The first stop on this 10-game road trip is a visit to the Ballpark in Arlington to face the Texas Rangers. This is the second series between the two clubs this season. They met last week at US Cellular Field and split a two game series.
The Rangers offense will look a little different this time. Both Nelson Cruz and Josh Hamilton are scheduled to come off the DL in time for Monday's opener. The Rangers offense has really missed the duo of Cruz and Hamilton.
Starting Monday's game for the Sox will be John Danks. Danks is winless in his first nine starts this season with a record of 0-6 and an ERA of 4.32. Danks is hoping to add to the success the starting rotation has had recently. Carlos Quentin is hoping to be back in the lineup for the Sox on Monday after missing the previous two games with a bruised knee.
Alexi Ogando will be taking the ball for the Rangers. Ogando has been nothing short of brilliant this season. The righty is 4-0 this season with an ERA of 2.13.
The weather forecast for Monday's opener is temperatures in the upper 80's with a chance of thunderstorms. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 CST. The game can be seen on Comcast Sportsnet.
