The Cubs and Red Sox will meet on Saturday in game two of their three-game weekend series. In the first series for the Cubs at Fenway Park since the 1918 World Series things couldn't have gone much worse for them in game one on Friday. The Cubs (19-24) committed four errors in their 15-5 loss to the Red Sox (24-20).
The Cubs will try to rebound in game two of the series on Saturday sending Carlos Zambrano to the mound. Zambrano is 4-2 on the season with an ERA of 4.89. This will be his second career start against the Red Sox. Back in 2005 Zambrano received a no decision in his one start against Boston. The Cubs are currently 2-3 on their seven game road trip.
Boston comes in to Saturday as one of the hottest teams in baseball. After Friday's win they have now one seven games in a row and are just a half game behind the division leading Tampa Bay Rays. Boston will send Alfredo Aceves to the mound making his first start of the season. Aceves has pitched out of the bullpen this season and is 1-0 with a 2.60 ERA in 11 appearances.
The forecast for Saturday's 6:10 start is partly cloudy with a temperature in the low 60's. The game can be seen on Fox.
