White Sox Look to Rebound in Game Two of Series Against Dodgers

The Chicago White Sox were one out away from taking game one of the series against the Dodgers on Friday evening. Thanks to a game-tying home run in the top of the ninth with two outs by Russ Mitchell and a bullpen implosion in the 10th, the Sox (20-26) fell to the Dodgers (21-25) in game one of each teams first interleague series of the season.

Game two of the series will feature two pitchers who were key members of the White Sox 2005 World Series team.  Mark Buehrle (3-3,4.07 ERA) will face former teammate Jon Garland (1-3,3.55).

Buehrle has had an outstanding May after struggling in April. The southpaw is 2-0 in three starts in May. Garland, on the other hand, has been the victim of poor run support all season and pitched much better than his record indicates. This will be Garland's first start at US Cellular Field since leaving the White Sox after the 2007 season.

Saturday's game has a first pitch scheduled for 1:10 pm Central. The weather forecast at first pitch is partly cloudy with temperatures in the lower 70's. The game can be seen on CSN.
