Danks And Sox Look To Win At Home For First Time Since May 2nd

Still winless on the season, John Danks now finds himself the member of an unlucky club. Danks is one of just eight major league starters who has made at least five starts on the season without earning a win. He shares this dubious distinction with a few other notable names, including Madison Bumgarner of the Giants, and Ubaldo Jimenez of the Rockies. He'll look to change all that on Tuesday night as the White Sox host the Texas Rangers, trying for their first home win since May 2nd.

Though the Sox put together a recent winning streak on the road, they've struggled at home, picking up just one win during their last six game stretch at the Cell. Danks, though winless on the season, has sported decent stats, with a 4.50 ERA and 1.44 WHIP. In his career versus Texas, he's 1-3 with a 4.11 ERA and 1.27 WHIP. Over his career, Elvis Andrus is 4-for-5 against Danks with a double, while Adrian Beltre has a .286 average against him with two home runs.

Pitching for the Rangers will be Matt Harrison. Though Harrison started the year quickly with three straight wins, he's since suffered four straight defeats, and currently sits at 3-4 with a 4.35 ERA and 1.40 WHIP. In his career versus the Sox, he's 2-0 with a 2.70 ERA and 1.20 WHIP. Few current Sox have much experience against Harrison, though Carlos Quentin has homered off of him, and Alexei Ramirez is 2-for-4 while Alex Rios is 2-for-3.

The weather in Chicago is forecast to once again be cool, though clear, with a game time temperature in the low-50s. First pitch is at 7:10, P.M., CDT, and the game will be televised on CSN+ and FSSW.
