Chicago Blackhawks Vs. Montreal Canadiens: The Final Push

There are six days left in the NHL's regular season; the Blackhawks will play on four of them (tonight, tomorrow, Friday and Sunday). This is a tough schedule, made tougher by the fact that three of the four games are against playoff teams -- tonight in Montreal, then home and home with the Red Wings on Friday and Sunday.

Though the Blackhawks lead the Flames by only one point, they don't have to worry too much about them. Calgary has only two games left; if the Blackhawks win two of their four games, the Flames are eliminated. The bigger concern is the Dallas Stars, who trail by three points but have all four of their remaining games against teams out of the playoff picture.

Tonight is the only meeting of the season between the Canadiens and Blackhawks, Original Six teams who used to meet all the time. Montreal ranks sixth in the Eastern Conference, and are very tough at home with one of the NHL's best home records: 23-11-6.

Tonight's faceoff is at 6:30 p.m. CDT and you can see it all on CSN Chicago.
