Now that the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft is officially over, we can focus on the second. We have about seven hours to get all of our ducks in a row and get our last minute speculations in. Mel Kiper just released his second round Mock Draft now that he knows all of the players that will be available. He has the Bears taking North Carolina defensive tackle Marvin Austin.
Austin would be a pretty solid fit for the Bears who need to fill in for the departed Tommie Harris. He would probably have gone much higher than this if he had been able to play last season, but he was suspended along with a few other players on the North Carolina team.
I expect Austin to go a little bit higher than this in the second round, and would be surprised if he is still available for the Bears. But if he is still on the board, I could see the Bears making this pick.
