Cubs And Rookie Coleman Take On Brewers In Series Finale

On a beautiful day in Chicago, the Cubs are up in Milwaukee facing the Brewers in the rubber match of their first series of 2011. The Cubs came from behind in the first game through timely hitting and a strong performance by Carlos Zambrano. They weren't so lucky the next day, however, as Prince Fielder took advantage of Matt Garza and led Milwaukee to a 6-0 victory.

Today, the Cubs have recalled Casey Coleman to make his first start of the year against the Brewers. Coleman was with the club briefly last year and compiled a 4-2 record with a 4.11 ERA in eight starts. Coleman has had issues facing the Brewers -- in one relief appearance and one start he's 0-1 with a 7.56 ERA and 2.16 WHIP. Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder, and Corey Hart have all hit him well.

Going for the Brewers will be ace Yovani Gallardo. Gallardo threw a two-hitter in his first start of the season. Across seven starts against the Cubs, he's 3-1 with a 3.19 ERA and 1.28 WHIP. Starlin Castro and Geovany Soto hit him the best. Castro is 4-for-9 with three doubles and Soto is 4-for-12 with a double and a home run.

Today's weather is forecast to be sunny with temperatures in the low 80's. First pitch is at 1:10 P.M. CDT and the game will be televised on WGN, FSN, and Telemundo.
