Super Bowl XLV: You Can Bet Just About Anything At The Big Game

As you can imagine, legal wagering on the Super Bowl is a pastime many take part in. Office pools and number squares, things that skate on the edge of legality but are often ignored, are widely participated in by people who spend much of their day in cubicle farms, as a way of passing the time.

In addition to the usual point spread propositions and various wagers on different types of scores and plays in the game, bodog.com lists quite a number of other things you can wager on, ranging from the subtle to the bizarre:

↵↵
    ↵↵
  • How long will Christina Aguilera hold the note “Brave” at the end of the National Anthem? (Over/under six seconds)↵
    ↵
  • How many times will FOX show Jerry Jones on TV during the Game? (Over/under 2.5)↵
    ↵
  • What will Fergie be wearing when she first appears on stage during the Super Bowl Halftime Show? (Choices: Skirt/Dress, Pants (Below Knees), Shorts (Above Knees), Thong/G-String/Bikini Bottom)↵
    ↵
  • Who will FOX show first on TV during the game? Jessica Szohr (Aaron Rodgers’ girlfriend), or Ashley Harlan (Ben Roethlisberger’s fiancee)↵↵
↵↵

And last, but certainly not least:

↵↵
How many times will FOX mention “Brett Favre” on TV during the Game? (Over/under: 2.5)
↵↵

If I were making a legal wager on that last one, I'd definitely take the over. Just sayin'.
