Friday night's showdown between the Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings looks like it will go down to the wire. The Central Division leaders are tied at two goals apiece after the second period, after being tied at 1-1 after the first period. The Red Wings have had leads in both periods, only to see Chicago answer back.
Detroit took the lead for the second time with a little over five minutes spent in the second period on Todd Bertuzzi's fifth goal of the season, which came on assists from Mike Commodore and Jonathan Ericsson. But the Blackhawks were able to answer back a little over two minutes later on Marion Hossa's 17th goal of the season, which was assisted on by Dan Carcillo and Nick Leddy.
