Northern Illinois Vs. Ohio Score Update: Huskies Come Back To Win 2011 MAC Championship

The comeback is complete, and then some. Northern Illinois Huskies kicker Mathew Sims, who seemed potentially destined for the role of goat after missing a crucial extra point earlier in the second half, connected on a 33-yard field goal as time expired to give the Huskies the 2011 MAC title.

That missed extra point came after the Huskies cut the Ohio Bobcats' lead to 20-13 midway through the fourth quarter. The Huskies would tie the game with three minutes left in the fourth, but that missed extra point meant that they would obviously have to score once more to defeat the Bobcats. The Huskies received the ball with 1:26 left the play and 48 yards in five plays before setting up for Sims' field goal.
