Notre Dame Vs. Dartmouth Recap: Fighting Irish Cruise To 65-47 Win Over Big Green

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish (7-4) took the lead seven minutes into the first half and never looked back, winning convincingly over the Dartmouth Big Green (2-6).

The Fighting Irish were led by impressive play from junior forward Jack Cooley, who dominated on both offense and defense, leading both teams in points (22) and rebounds (9) -- while also going a perfect 4-for-4 from the line. Despite averaging only 6.8 points per game, Cooley has now put up his second-straight 22-point showing after collecting 22 points and 14 rebounds last Thursday against Maine.

Also, making their marks on offense, sophomore Alex Dragicevich produced his second consecutive double-digit points game, adding 15 points from the guard position, while junior guard Joey Brooks dropped 13 of his own.

By halftime, the Irish led 37-23, but after a six-point run early in the second half, Notre Dame had built a 21-point margin sufficient for an easy win.

The Fighting Irish man's basketball team will be back in action in the new year, taking on the Louisville Cardinals on January 7, 2012.
