Notre Dame will hope to close out its two-game homestand with a victory over Dartmouth. When they last took the court, the Fighting Irish put an end to a two-game losing streak with a hard-fought 87-78 victory over Maine. Notre Dame has struggled since losing senior forward Tim Abromaitis to a season-ending injury, dropping two of its last three games.
Sophomore guard Eric Atkins continued his excellent play in the win over the Black Bears, scoring 26 points and dishing out six assists in the key victory. Atkins has been outstanding throughout the season, averaging 15.6 points and 3.8 assists. As the season progresses, Notre Dame will need junior forward Jack Cooley to continue the great effort he put on display against Maine, as he scored 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the win.
Dartmouth will be looking to end a two-game losing streak when it visits Notre Dame. The Big Green rely on a trio of scorers, led by junior guard R.J. Griffin, who averages a team-high 11.1 ppg and senior guard David Rufful, who averages 10.1 ppg. Freshman forward Gabas Maldunas is the third scorer for Dartmouth, as he averages 9.9 ppg.
