Northern Illinois Vs. Bowling Green Score Update: Huskies Up 14-7 After 1st Quarter

Bowling Green struck first tonight--in fact, they struck on the game's first play from scrimmage when quarterback Matt Schilz hit Kamar Jorden for an 83-yard touchdown. From there, though, it's been all Northern Illinois.

The Huskies needed just two plays to answer BGSU and tie the score at seven; a 56-yard touchdown pass from Chandler Harnish to Willie Clark erased the deficit. From there, the game settled down a bit, and NIU's second score came on a methodical 13-play, 63 yard drive. The Huskies racked up over 130 total yards on those two scoring drives alone and have yet to punt the football. Considering how the defense played on that first drive and in last week's 63-60 triumph, they may need to keep those points coming.
