With emotions running high on Senior Night at Notre Dame Stadium, the Fighting Irish have delivered an efficient performance in the opening quarter and lead Boston College 10-0. Notre Dame used the emotion and passion from the crowd to deliver in impressive opening drive, which was capped off by senior RB Jonas Gray rushing in from 26 yards out.
Gray has been excellent so far in the final home game of his career, rushing for 44 yards on five carries. Sophomore QB Tommy Rees has struggled a little bit with his accuracy, completing only 6/10 for 60 yards. Junior TE Tyler Eifert put his excellent hands on display with a 34-yard reception.
The Eagles offense has struggled to find any consistency, with sophomore QB Chase Rettig missing a handful of open receivers in the first quarter. Freshman RB Tahj Kimble did find some success on the ground, rushing for 22 yards on four carries.
