The Iowa farm that was used to film the motion picture "Field of Dreams" has been purchased by an investor group based out of Oak Lawn. Included in the purchase are the playing field, the house with the porch, six other buildings on the property and 193 acres.
↵The group plans to open "All Star Baseball Heaven" which is scheduled to be completed in 2014. The complex will feature 12 state-of-the-art- fields used to host baseball and softball tournaments along with an indoor training facility.
↵Chicago White Sox groundskeeper Roger Bossard has been hired to design the baseball fields.
