Notre Dame Jumps Out To 28-7 Lead Over Navy

After a tumultuous week off the field, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish seem to be taking some of their frustration out on Navy. Following a disappointing performance against USC, sophomore QB Tommy Rees has been excellent, throwing for 136 yards and a touchdown on just five attempts. WR Michael Floyd has been the main target for Rees, with the talented wideout finding the endzone on a 56-yard completion early in the second quarter. Jonas Gray has run for two TD's so far, while Cierre Wood also scored.

Unfortunately for Navy, its offense isn't designed to rally from an early deficit. Sophomore QB Trey Miller started in place of the injured Kriss Proctor for the Midshipmen and has done a solid job so far. Miller threw a touchdown pass to Gee Gee Greene and has also added 16 yards rushing.
