So after seeing the Saints put up 62 on the Colts last night it made we wonder if the Bears ever had such a sweet victory. Thanks to the Pro Football Hall Of Fame website I was actually able to find that info.

Back in 1980 the Bears defeated the Green Bay Packers 61-7 which is the most points they’ve scored in a game.

Now I know the Packers of the of the 1980’s weren’t a good team and this will not take away from all the beat downs us Bear fans suffered at the hands of Brett Favre and now Aaron Rodgers, but it’s still good to know.

It would be nice though if the Bears could establish some new records against the Packers like they did back in the 80’s.
