The BCS have released their first college football rankings of the season. Just as in years past there are many teams and fans disappointed and upset with where their team is ranked.
↵LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Boise State make up the top 5 in the initial rankings. There will be eventual change because LSU plays Alabama and Oklahoma plays Oklahoma State in the next few weeks. That may open the door for teams like Wisconsin (#6), Clemson (#7), and Stanford (#8) to move up.
↵Illinois is the only local team in the top-25 coming in at #23. The Big Ten is also represented by Nebraska (#13), Michigan State (#16), Michigan (#18), and Penn State (#21).
↵The only thing certain is that there will be lots of change in the next several weeks.
