Not much change in this weeks version of the Power Poll. Five games in we are starting to be able to see who is good and who is not. Enjoy this week's edition.
1) Green Bay Packers (1)
Can't be stopped on offense. Loss of Clifton could be significant. Could be scarry when their defense starts playing.
2) Detroit Lions (2)
No longer under the radar. Lots of weapons on both sides of the ball. This team is for real.
3) Baltimore Ravens (3)
Can run the ball and plays good defense. Key ingredients to a successful team.
4) New England Patriots (4)
Tom Brady and Wes Welker are single handedly winning games. Still need to improve on defense.
5) New Orleans Saints (5)
Drew Brees and the Saints keep rolling. Didn't play great against Carolina, and still won.
6) San Francisco 49ers (8)
It's not Bill Walsh, Joe Montana, and Jerry Rice, but they sure are playing well. Very impressive win against the Buc's.
7) San Diego Chargers (6)
Still haven't played their best game yet and are off to a nice start. Will be scary once they get healthy.
8) Buffalo Bills (9)
Nice bounce back win against Philly. This team is for real.
9) Pittsburgh Steelers (18)
Finally starting to look like the Steelers we've known. Running game needs to get it going though.
10) Oakland Raiders (14)
If it wasn't for Buffalo and Detroit this might be your surprise team. Great road win this week in Houston.
11) Washington Redskins (11)
How will they return from the bye week?
12) Houston Texans (7)
In typical Texan fashion they could be 5-0, but are 3-2. They have to finally make the playoffs right? Loss of Mario Williams is a huge blow.
13) Cincinnati Bengals (20)
Kind of a fun young team in Cincy this year. Probably a year or two a way, but headed in the right direction.
14) Tennessee Titans (11)
How will they bounce back this week from a huge loss?
15) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10)
Clearly didn't show up to play in San Fran,
16) New York Giants (12)
How do you lose to Seattle at home?
17) New York Jets (16)
Can't run the ball and defense is struggling. Not quite right in Jets camp.
18) Atlanta Falcons (15)
Real tough team to figure out. Started off so great against the Pack only to get blown out. Playoffs could be out of reach this season for the Dirty Birds.
19) Dallas Cowboys (19)
Best thing for the Cowboys was a bye week so that they could avoid a weekend of Romo bashing.
20) Chicago Bears (17)
Total embarassment on Monday Night Football.
21) Seattle Seahawks (26)
Very impressive traveling cross country and beating the Giants.
22) Kansas City Chiefs (29)
Even with all the injuries they are starting to win some games. Props to the Chiefs for not quitting.
23) Carolina Panthers (22)
Future is so bright for Newton and the Panthers.
24) Cleveland Browns (23)
Bye week came at perfect time to re-group.
25) Arizona Cardinals (21)
Blown out by Minnesota?
26) Philadelphia Eagles (24)
First the Phillies and now the Eagles? All is not well in the city of Brotherly Love.
27) Jacksonville Jaguars (25)
Blaine Gabbert is playing like a rookie. Gonna be a rough ride in Jacksonville.
28) Minnesota Vikings (32)
Finally played a good game for four quarters. Was it a fluke or are the Vikings back?
29) Denver Broncos (28)
If Tim Tebow is your better option, all is not right with your team.
30) Miami Dolphins (27)
Possibly no NBA season, and now the Dolphins are bad. South Beach might actually look forward to the Marlins season.
31) St. Louis Rams (31)
Losing a player to injury each week doesn't help. Either does having to play the Packers this week at Lambeau.
32) Indianapolis Colts (32)
Playing better with Painter, but still winless.
