Chicago Blackhawks Vs. Anaheim Ducks: Win One For Dear Old Mom

The Blackhawks have taken their moms along on the two-game trip to the Los Angeles area to play the Ducks and Kings. You'd think, especially after they didn't win on their family trip last year (0-1-1 when they took their dads along), they'd want to make good or risk a mother's wrath. (Kidding. Sort of.)

Anyway, the Hawks got somewhat good news yesterday when Jonathan Toews took part in practice and his shoulder, injured last Tuesday against the Blues, responded well. Coach Joel Quenneville, not wanting to take any chances, won't play Toews tonight, or likely tomorrow against the Kings either, but it's possible that Captain Jonathan might not miss the previously-feared two weeks.

Corey Crawford, who is 10-1-1 in his last 12 starts, is back to 100% health after a bout with the flu and will get the start tonight. The Blackhawks have defeated the Ducks twice already this season and Crawford was in goal both times.

Tonight's game begins at 7 p.m. CST and will be televised on WGN (Chicago only).
