Mark Prior, four years after his last major league pitch, signed to pitch in the independent Golden League earlier this summer. After a good run there, the Texas Rangers signed him and assigned him to their Triple-A team at Oklahoma City.
↵Yesterday, he made his Triple-A debut for OKC:
↵↵↵Prior stranded the bases loaded after allowing a pair of singles and walking a batter in the fourth inning of Oklahoma City’s 9-1 loss to the Omaha Royals. It was the first game for the former first-round draft pick and All-Star pitcher after signing a minor league deal with the Texas Rangers.

There are rumors that if Prior does well enough in the Triple-A playoffs for OKC, he might get some major league time for the Rangers this month.
