Soto to have arthro surgery on rt shoulder monday.
Shoulder’s been bothering him much of season. Doing it now puts him on track for full health Jan. 1.
Soto finishes the season with a triple-slash line of .280/.393/.497 and OPS of .890, higher than his rookie-season OPS (.868). He hit 17 HR and drove in 53 runs in only 387 plate appearances, one of the better offensive seasons for any catcher in 2010. He had a fine comeback season from his down year in 2009 and should be ready for another good year in 2011.
