Bears Injury Report: Urlacher, Briggs Ready To Go

Bears linebackers Lance Briggs and Brian Urlacher missed the final preseason game with ankle injuries, but Neil Hayes reports in the Sun-Times that both are ready to play on Sunday:

’’I’m just excited for people to see how good we’re going to be,‘’ said Urlacher, who’s extra eager after sitting out last season with a wrist injury.

Briggs, safety Craig Steltz (ankle) and H-back Desmond Clark (ankle) were the only players who didn’t participate fully in Thursday’s practice. Steltz, a four-year veteran, participated on a limited basis for the first time since being injured in the exhibition opener. Briggs expects to be ready by Sunday.

‘’Everything has been according to doctor’s orders,‘’ Briggs said. ’’I gradually worked myself into practice with hopes that this week I’ll be on that field, and that’s what I plan on doing.’’

Here is the Bears vs. Lions official injury report for this week’s game which should be updated later today.
