Once a year the Bears leave their training camp facility at Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, approximately 60 miles south of Chicago, and hold one session at Soldier Field for their fans. Last night the Bears hosted their annual Family Night at Soldier Field. The event drew 26,371 fans. A scratch-off card promotion for a chance to go on the field, meet a player and win a signed practice jersey for the first 30,000 fans who entered the stadium meant everyone had a a chance to win.
The event started at 4pm with a live band, remote radio broadcasts, kids games, sponsor booths and giveaways outside the stadium. Food and beverages were available for purchase. The Bears began their practice at 7pm and the night eneded with a fireworks display.
