The Reds have been perennial also-rans in the NL Central for the better part of a decade.
Now, the tables are turned and it's the Cubs who are looking up at the first-place Reds, who lead the Cardinals by half a game going into this afternoon's action.
The Reds have won six of their last eight. The Cubs just broke a seven-game losing streak with a win over the Brewers on Wednesday. Cincinnati sends Bronson Arroyo to face the Cubs' Tom Gorzelanny.
The game will be televised on CSN Chicago beginning with a pregame show at 1 pm CDT.
