Rookie safety Major Wright has joined a few of his teammates on the injured list. Yesterday, the Bears’ top draft choice in April appeared to lose his footing and injured his groin, according to an ESPNchicago.com report.
Wright, the Bears’ top draft choice in April, appeared to lose his footing and almost ended up doing the splits. He then gingerly jogged off the field to receive treatment from the teams’ training staff and remained out for the rest of the workout.
Coach Lovie Smith was impressed by Wright’s play the first two days of camp. He said that Wright should be okay and the goal is to get him back on the field.
Defensive tackle Marcus Harrison also failed to finish practice yesterday, the second consecutive day he has been unable to go through a complete workout due to dehydration from the heat.
