Jay Cutler Talks About Saturday's Bears Loss

Jay’s thoughts on how the offense did last night:

Obviously we had some problems early on, sometimes missed reads, sometimes we broke huddle and we spoke to the line wrong. We had some nice plays, there’s still some time, we have to go back and watch the film and hopefully straighten it up.

Did Jay think the Bears would still have offensive trouble by the third preseason game?

Well you would hope not but on the other side it still is a new offense, guys are still trying to get used to it. I think we came out and put a lot of pressure on this game 3 – starting fast – and sometimes it doesn’t work out like that. We just have to get in a bit of a groove. We’re having some difficulties every once in a while but we still missed some stuff down the field, some openings and we didn’t take advantage of it. Our offensive line needs to look at the tape, I need to look at the tapes. We’re getting there as an offense but again, there’s still some work to do.

Cutler’s thoughts on getting more extended playing time in the final preseason game:

Yeah it would be nice, but we have such a short turn around with playing on Thursday. Trying to put a game plan in for a few days and for us to come out and run it will be very difficult.

Cutler and the Bears still have much work to do. The final preseason game will be at Cleveland on Thursday night.
