Bears' Hanie Expects MRI To Come Back Negative

As reported earlier, Bears number two quarterback Caleb Hanie has an injured shoulder. He was spotted today with his right arm in a sling to protect that shoulder. An MRI was taken of the shoulder, which Hanie says involves the AC joint. He also says he expects the MRI to come back negative and no surgery will be needed.

Hanie injured his shoulder during Saturday night’s game against the Chargers when a sack by Chargers linebacker Antwan Applewhite drove his shoulder into the turf.

Hanie says he has not missed a game and is not worried about losing his position as the Bears’ number two quarterback.
