Normally, a signing like this wouldn’t be newsworthy, but with the Blackhawks forced to part ways with a large number of key parts of their Stanley Cup championship team, a re-signing of even a bit player deserves mention.
↵The Hawks re-signed defenseman Jordan Hendry (who is no relation to Cubs general manager Jim Hendry) to a one-year deal:
↵↵Hendry had career-highs in goals (two), assists (six), points (eight), plus/minus rating (+5) and games played (43) during the 2009-10 regular-season. A native of Nokomis, Saskatchewan, the 26-year-old Hendry appeared in 15 postseason games.
