Soriano Injury Doesn't Appear Serious

Alfonso Soriano was struck on the arm during the fifth inning of last night’s 8-3 Cubs victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Soon after, Sun-Times beat reporter Gordon Wittenmyer tweeted that Soriano was diagnosed with a left elbow contusion. Following the game, manager Lou Piniella told mlb.com associate reporter Andrew Pentis that the left fielder will still likely start today (Thursday) against the Dodgers but may get Friday off.
