Chicago, IL (Sports Network) – Brent Lillibridge and Paul Konerko each drove in a pair of runs and Freddy Garcia continued his success against the Angels in Chicago’s 5-2 victory.
Garcia (9-3) allowed just one unearned run on five hits and two walks, fanning six in as many innings. The veteran right-hander improved to 15-3 with a 2.45 earned-run average in 25 lifetime starts against the Halos.
The win gives the White Sox four straight overall, including the first three in this four-game set.
Joe Saunders (6-9) was saddled with the loss after surrendering five runs on 10 hits in 5 2/3 innings for the Angels, who have dropped five of six overall.
