Carlos Boozer Will Not Be The First Bulls Boozer

It’s not a common name, but Carlos Boozer, presuming the reports of him agreeing to a five-year, $80 million deal are correct, will not be the first Bulls player with that surname.

The 1966-67 Bulls featured Bob Boozer, who had been selected by the first-year expansion team from the Lakers in the expansion draft.

The 29-year-old, 6-8 forward led the team with 18.0 ppg and also had 8.5 rebounds per game and helped the expansion Bulls to an unexpected playoff berth, from which they were bounced in a sweep by the St. Louis Hawks.

Carlos Boozer and Bob Boozer are not related.
