↵MLB is now offering Postseason Ticket Reservations. For a small fee, you can buy a reservation that guarantees you the right to buy tickets at face value for one game in each round (Division Series, LCS, World Series) of the playoffs for any team you choose (except the Yankees, whose limited number of reservations apparently are already sold out).
↵Here’s the page for White Sox reservations; it costs $10 per ticket for Division Series, $15 for LCS, $20 for World Series — much less of a premium than you’d pay a ticket broker.
↵Yes, of course there’s a catch. If the Sox don’t make the playoffs, you don’t get your reservation money back. Seems like a small price to pay, though, to guarantee you tickets.
