Alexei Ramirez's Home Run Wins Rare Sunday Night Game For Sox

New All-Star selection Matt Thornton nailed down the game with his fifth save. Here’s the rest of the game recap from Sports Network:

Arlington, TX (Sports Network) – Alexei Ramirez hit the tie-breaking home run in the sixth inning to carry Chicago past Texas, 5-3, in the finale of a three-game set.

Carlos Quentin doubled to drive in a run and scored twice and Mark Kotsay added a pair of hits and drove in a run for the White Sox, who have won 14 of their last 18 games.

Mark Buehrle (7-7) earned the win with seven inning innings of work during which he yielded three runs on five hits without a walk or strikeout for Chicago, which has claimed nine of its last 12 road contests.

Scott Feldman (5-8) took the loss after allowing five runs — four earned — on eight hits over six frames. He walked one and struck out one for the Rangers, who have fallen in three of their last four games.
