The Cubs take the field Saturday looking to do something they have accomplished only once since late May -- win three games in a row.
They took the first two games from the defending league champion Phillies, one in convincing fashion 12-6, the other on a tiebreaking eighth-inning home run by Aramis Ramirez, 4-3.
Cubs starting pitching has been solid all year; they are tied with the Tampa Bay Rays for most quality starts by any major league team with 57.
Righthander Randy Wells -- who has never faced the Phillies -- will face Philadelphia lefthander Cole Hamels.
The game begins at 12:05 CDT and will be televised on CSN Chicago.
