Bears Pick BYU Running Back In Supplemental Draft

If you’re like me, you didn’t even know there was a supplemental NFL draft. It took place today, and there’s a local connection for the two players chosen.

First, here’s why they have this draft:

The draft is intended for players who missed the filing deadline for the NFL draft or had other issues develop that affected their college eligibility.

There aren’t many who have entered professional football this way:

The Bears will forfeit their seventh-round pick in next year’s draft as a result of making this pick.
