Marlon Byrd’s outstanding play in the All-Star Game helped the National League win for the first time in 14 years.
↵Tomorrow, he’ll be a hero to kids at the Union League Boys and Girls Club in Chicago before the Cubs’ night game with the Phillies:
↵↵↵He’ll visit more than 100 kids as they participate in gym, computer, library and art activities. This is the official launch of a community outreach program created by the Cubs and Steiner Sports Memorabilia, Inc., which will include a clinic Monday at Wrigley Field. Byrd will be joined by Cubs pitcher Ryan Dempster at the clinic, which will allow 50 kids to play on the field.

Byrd and Dempster are two of the good guys, always giving back to the community and raising money for good causes. Good for them.
