As we head into the holiday weekend, the TV schedule is a bit sparse today. The Sox are off, so if you’re not a Cubs fan (or can’t watch any more), The Deep Dish will give you some baseball alternatives. The World Cup is also off today; the quarterfinals begin tomorrow.
↵12 noon, NBC: Wimbledon, women’s semifinals.
↵12 noon, MLB Network: Mariners at Yankees. CC Sabathia faces the team with the worst offense in the American League.
↵1 pm, CSN Chicago: Cubs vs. Reds. If you look real hard into the Reds dugout, you might be able to see Dusty Baker gloating.
↵7 pm, MLB Network: Rays at Twins. Tune in to see teams execute fundamentals and play solid baseball. Heaven knows, we haven’t seen a lot of that in Chicago this year, particularly on the North Side.
