A Few Notes From The Warm And Fuzzy Side

A few tidbits of feel good news for all of you Chicago sports fans out there:

2. Tyler Colvin likes kids and dogs

↵

Carrie Muskat has a shout-out to Cubs outfielder Tyler Colvin on her blog today. Apparently Colvin went out of his way to spend some time with a Clarendon HIlls little league team.

↵

Colvin so impressed the parents of the little leaguers that they donated $500 to PAWS Chicago, a no-kill animal shelter because of Tyler’s love of dogs. Awww. Now if only Colvin could impress Lou and actually get consistent at-bats….

3. Blackhawks to bring Stanley Cup to Pride Parade

↵

The Hawks have accepted an invitation from the Chicago Gay Hockey Association to bring the Stanley Cup to the Pride Parade this weekend on Chicago’s North Side.

The Hawks will be represented by Brent Sopel and his family. Good job, Blackhawks!
