Cubs Look To Win First Series In Three Weeks Vs. Athletics

The Cubs haven't won a series since they took two of three from the Dodgers from May 25-27. Since then they have gone 6-11, but have lost only 1.5 games in the standings in the NL Central.

The division is weak this year, so if the Cubs can take today's game, perhaps they can get a winning streak going.

Randy Wells, who has had first-inning troubles, will face Dallas Braden, who has posted a 0-4 record with a 4.75 ERA in six starts since his perfect game on May 9.

The game begins at 1:20 CDT and will be televised on CSN Chicago.
