AJ Pierzynski's Four Hits Lead White Sox To Win Over Cubs

Chicago, IL (Sports Network) – A.J. Pierzynski finished 4-for-5 with a homer and three RBI as the Chicago White Sox blitzed the Chicago Cubs, 10-5, in the opener of this three-game interleague series from Wrigley Field.

Alex Rios was 4-for-4, hit a two-run homer and scored three times for the White Sox, who have won three in a row and four of five overall.

Paul Konerko collected two hits, knocked in two and scored two runs while Carlos Quentin also went deep for the South Siders.

Jake Peavy (5-5) went seven innings for the win, allowing six hits and two runs with five strikeouts.

Alfonso Soriano hit a two-run shot and drove in three runs for the Cubs, who have dropped three of four.

Randy Wells (3-5) was tagged in defeat for 10 hits and five runs while fanning six and walking three over five full frames.
