It's Official: The Big Ten Is Now The Big Eleven Twelve

We knew this was coming, but Nebraska has finally announced its intentions to join the Big Ten.

LINCOLN _ Nebraska has officially accepted an invitation to join the Big Ten Conference, The World-Herald learned early Friday afternoon.

Two sources from conference offices said that Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany contacted BIg 12 Commissioner Dan Beebe on Friday morning to inform Beebe that Delany had officially invited Nebraska to join.

A source with direct knowledge of the situation said Nebraska accepted.

Other news today on the expansion front has Boise State moving from the WAC to the MWC, and the news that the board of regents from Texas will meet on Tuesday morning at around 11am to discuss the proper move to make for conference realignment.
