Mike Fontenot tripled twice today — the first Cub to do so since Jose Macias on May 14, 2004 in a 6-1 Cubs win in San Diego. The last Cubs player to have two triples in a game at Wrigley Field was Ryne Sandberg, who tripled twice in a 13-7 win over the Giants on May 8, 1988.
