Bears Ready For Season (Sort Of); All Draft Picks Signed

Only a month after the draft, today the Bears signed their third-round pick, Major Wright, completing the signing of all 2010 Bears picks:

Wright’s agreement follows the signings of, in order, offensive tackle J’Marcus Webb (Round 7), cornerback Joshua Moore (5), defensive end Corey Wootton (4) and quarterback Dan LeFevour (6).

Of course, since the Bears traded most of their 2010 draft away to get Jay Cutler, there wasn’t the usual angst over how many dollars the first-round pick would get — since they didn’t have one. Corey Wootton, who at one time was high on many teams’ lists, dropped significantly due to injury. If healthy, that pick could really help the defensive line, a place where the team needs improvement.
